This forum is free, so I am not sure what personal gain would come into play. I can say that ATN Corp does have members on this forum.

I have an ATN Aries 350 Guardian night vision scope I've had 10 years or so. Mine is different from picture taht came with booklet from ATN. Mine has digital infra-red illuminator mounted on top. Just what do I have and its value. Can't find anything like it on web.

Post a few photos. Is it a rebadged Mars scope? That's the images I get when doing a search on "ATN Aries 350 Guardian".

This site has no ties to ATN that I can tell. In fact, the link to this forum appears to have been removed from the ATN Corporate site with the last update. The corporate site links only to the Facebook group, which IS controlled by ATN. I wonder if the link to this forum is still being included in the Quick Start Guide where, I think, I found this forum. It's not in the downloadable User Manual but neither is the Facebook group.
One thing I've heard (I don't do FB) is this site appears to have more "Real World" opinions than Facebook when it comes to use of the ATN offerings. It's merely hearsay but apparently, the FB group is heavily censored.

See how many fan boys come back and tell you, "Yes absolutely!" Then start asking the same question here. Why do YOU think they removed the link that pointed here from their web site?

I kind of take issue with your wording here. James, this forum is not owned and operated by ATN. It is owned by someone who apparently wants to offer an honest and open forum for OWNERS of ATN products who have experienced the many failures by ATN to properly support their products with HONEST and COMPLETE information. In that context this forum provides a service which can not be gotten anywhere else on the web. Here you can discover the extent to which ATN is willing to advertise features which either do not exist or are not working properly due to what must be one of the least professional firmware development teams in the industry. When a user finds a bug in the ATN firmware and posts about it here, it isn't removed as it would be on the FB page. When a user discovers that it really isn't legal to use the X-Sight in a significant portion of the US unless hunting invasive species and reports it here, it is not removed as it is on the FB page. Pretty sure that the fellow hosting this site is not gaining anything personally from running it. He might be getting harrassed by ATN and some of their spectacularly untalented developers pretending to be members of the site but I'm pretty sure he is not "gaining personally" in any significant way. Your thoughts may vary. I would encourage every user of this forum to link to it whenever possible while discussing ATN products on teh webz, because the truth is not out there, it is right here.
