The next gun I plan on sighting in with my THOR 640 5X is my Suppressed .44 Mag shooting 240gr XTP's @ 1067 fps! My question is what are your thoughts on the scope picking up the bullets streaking through the air inflight to my target!? I mean it should have heat on its backside due to burning gases right....

Doc, my experience with thermal is limited to YouTube videos, but in all the ones I've seen, never noticed a subsonic round headed downrange from a suppressed rifle.
However with as large a caliber as you'll be shooting, you may just see it!

Tom,
I was also of that mind set due to diameter. I plan on doing a Nutria eradication on some private property very soon and will video everything! We shall see....

Was shooting .22LR tracer (Russian) at night a while back with the XS2 looked impressive through the scope, should imagine it would look even better through a thermal.

hehe - dead ones with a ball of flame between the eyes - wonder if it makes them cross-eyed just before impact. I was most surprised to be able to buy it over the counter here as it is banned ammo in Australia.

Just zeroed mine with a 77grain subsonic .233 and i could see the bullet impact and maybe the last 10 ft before.. it was at nite but very nice as it made it easier to zero

That would have been a good idea.. I am having issues with it locking up..the sight still works but all the buttons and functions seize up. I have to unscrew the battery cap and reboot. I hope they have a fix as this is not what I expect from such a high priced electronics product,

jraxmaa - done factory reset? running on internals - may be not enough amps depending on batteries - have you tried external pack on a 2A output?

jraxmaa - What distance were you seeing your bullets 10' prior to impact at subsonic speeds? I'm excited to get my 240 XTP's filmed at 100 yds as the diameter is much bigger than the .223 which might give me better thermal viewing we shall see!!!!!
