Is it just me, or does anyone else have a problem reaching the scope with their eye? You always see the scope mounted on AR platforms and bolt actions similar to how you would mount a optical scope but in reality that's just not the case (not mine anyway). I had my first on my AR (back as far as I could) which has an adjustable stock so things worked out better. Now it's on a Ruger American and I couldn't reach it no matter what I tried. I've now purchased a replacement stock with a 12 1/2" length of pull and it allows me to get by but only If the scope mount is hanging off the rear of the base. I mean you would think some of the ATN crowd would actually use their product sometime!

mmmm - I am having this issue also on a Ruger 10/22. Need to investigate if X Sight can be moved back on its attachment rail, or have to get a longer weaver rail to mount on the rifle. You would reasonably assume that a sight like this would be setup on its mountings to have a similar eye relief to a standard scope - it is after all marketed as a replacement to a standard scope.

hehe That would work - I think I will be looking to purchase one in the States though. Down here they are trying to steal NZ$ 299 (ATN one too)for one. Thats around US$ 219. Could get one custom made in a machine shop for less. Once again thanks for the pointers. I suspect that the scopes are setup to mount on the rails of AR style carry handles but not an ordinary rifle. The sight is fixed in its position on its mount. Mounting issues aside, I do have to say I am impressed with the performance. Went out for a walk last night with a half moon. Picked up a possum at @ 130m in some large pines. Turned off the IR to see if I could still see it and had no problems following it with just night mode and no IR. Am heading out on hogs this weekend so am hoping for clear weather and a full moon - if last night is anything to go on - will not need IR at all. odin

Last trip. Got 2 out of a mob of 5. Sow was a spine shot. Boar was on the run going away -through ribs/lung - up through throat and lodged in jawbone - he made about 5 steps.
