Has anyone tried the new Firmware update 352? I would like to hear any thoughts, pros and cons. My 343 is stable but I didn't save it as a backup if I want to roll back to 343.

Just did. Has new reticles, new colors, better shutdown. I have not tried the gps,wifi,compass,or with external battery but as base operations seamed to run better.

Thanks, I'm about to do mine now. I downloaded all old bin files in case I want to go back to an older version. Quick search on the interweb will find them. Have you tried the Obsidian app with the new bin?

I was unable to use the Obsidian app after the update. I tried on multiple android devices. Has anyone successfully connected to the app with the new firmware?
I'm able to connect but if I try to launch anything that has to do with live video feed the app crashes and I return to the home screen.

Sorry, but where can you get previous version of firmware for HD 5-18? search but cannot find any that I am happy to trust as the real mccoy.

Hi Jason Thank you, much appreciated, why is there a file with elf at the end It's not my dropbox, I'm sure you just change the file to .bin. The file was found on the "ATN Smart HD Owners" group on facebook. You can request to be added to the group, do a little research, and ask the owner of the doc there or I'm sure he is on this forum here as well and maybe he will answer your question. I actually found the files on a different page on the internet but could not list the site on this forum because I could not vouch for file authenticity. That said, the link I posted is from an admin of the facebook owners group and I'm positive that the files listed on that doc are originals from ATN. I would like to add that because this is an individuals doc on dropbox that you may want archive the files while they are listed. Or at least the .bin files that you want to backup. At any time the owner can change or delete the file and you may be stuck having to search the internet once more. |

Has anyone at all been able to get the ATN Obsidian 2.16 app to work with the X-Sight I HD Firmware V1.8.08.352?

I have tried multiple reboots. Installing the Firmware. Renaming the Firmware to xsight.bin. Multiple factory resets. Multiple uninstall of the app on multiple android devices. I'm out of options to try.
The Obsidian app crashes every time any type of video streaming begins. I can get it to function, I can get it to make changes in the X-sight. I can not get any portion of the app to work when video streaming begins.

The app has not caught up to this update yet. It takes time to get a newer app version tested on multible versions and phones..

I just checked the android play store. Still no update to the android app. I believe that there will not be many, and this may be the last, updates for the gen 1's. The App will continue to support the newer devices but at some point ATN will need to separate the app to support just the Gen 1 from the other devices. Or, setup a place where we can download the older apk app files that still support the Gen 1. Does anyone have the old apk files for the Obsidian app?

The current app works with version 343. Just not 352.
