Installing 619 right now. Seems to be stuck on "Configuring Wifi. Please wait..."
I've been waiting 15 minutes and it still says "Configuring Wifi. Please wait..."
What do I do now? It's stuck. Do I dare touch anything? Leave it run all night?
Instructions say don't shut off power until update is completed or your X Sight II will have to go back to the factory!
HELP!!!

First, beemanr7, what did you end up doing about your upgrade? I can only hope you did not end up with the "brick" issue, and had to send it in to be reset.
And now for the good news. I installed .747 last night, and it works! I cant tell exactly what was changed, but my zoom speed is better, my night vision is better, the Bluetooth is back, and I think my day view has also gotten better. You can now see that you are on an external battery also. So, has anyone else done the new upgrade? What are your thoughts?

This couldn't have warranted a new thread? Very confusing for some I would imagine?!

Distance entry in "standard" is now in yards instead of feet but I can only get down to 27 yards even though I can zero in the profiles much closer that 27 yds. Compass seems to be working slightly better. Startup seems a bit faster. Still no sleep mode. (If that's what it's called) Import/export of profiles sounds good since you can only have 5 on the device. Multiple weapons using multiple projectile weights can use up 5 profile slots pretty quick. You could have a mini sd for each weapon you use your sight on and swap them out when you swap weapons.

After installing .747 I noticed a thin blue line in the upper right section of the view finder. It's above the ATN logo on start up and you can slightly see it when viewing targets and pictures/videos are great looking (no blue line shown). Other than the blue line the scope preforms excellent.

I did the upgrade on my 5-20 version. Seems to work fine. However, when I try to use obsidian on my iPad Pro (it is only a month old), in wifi the viewfinder selection shows the compass, elevation, power, etc, but I never get a picture it just seems to keep loading. When I try to connect via bluetooth all I have access to are settings and environment. Anyone have similar issues? Any ideas on a fix?

It's most likely the Obsidian app. Mine worked fine on .747 firmware and the previous version of the Obsidian app. But the app upgraded to version 2.35 everything went to hell using WiFi. As for Bluetooth, that's all you get settings and environment. Bluetooth I reckon was just a beta version to facilitate the use of the ATN Laser Rangefinders and the X-Trac which is due out soon (well in ATN soon that could be now or a year from now ) To add to this X-Trac story Midway USA = Date expected in stock: Overdue, I've seen the mid-May being kicked around. All this being said, people who pre-ordered starting doing so in Feb-Mar as it was coming out now!!! Everybody's still waiting as far as I can tell! Cheers, BunnyBlaster

I don't have a smart phone yet but was looking at the Obsidian app. Seems the app reviews state it either works great or it doesn't work at all. I also noticed that the app needs permissions set and wonder if this is the cause for the wide range of complaints. Never once in all the discussions over the app has anyone mentioned the need to set permissions in the phone. Nor have they mentioned whether a phone OS update occurred between app updates. There seems to be differences between Android V6.0 and versions below.

I was preoccupied with other stuff and didn't really try too hard to get things working. I'll probably pull out the sight over the weekend. Reinstall the app on my phone and try that. If that doesn't work I'll do a factory reset on the sight. I at the time of updating the app tried the bluetooth, scope hung requiring a hard restart to get it to power off. Tried wifi later and had streaming problems etc. I just said F that and didn't bother using the app after that. I suppose I was just a bit hacked that something that has been working was now unusable for me and the absence of sleep mode didn't help!

I just got an e-mail from ATN that a new version of firmware is now out. V 2.1.07.767 From the mail, it has a new sleep mode, and media gallery. It also improves the ballistic calc, stop record when sd card is full, and functionality fixes.
I don't know if it is any good, but I will try installing it tonight to see.

Have .619 installed now. Should .747 be installed prior to installing .767? Thanks.

Well just installed .767 firmware Gallery works ..
I don't see any setting for sleep mode in the scope or the obsidian app (android phone)
Might just be me but it seemed to me the buttons react easier now

Have .619 installed now. Should .747 be installed prior to installing .767? Thanks. I do not think you have to, but I guess I would if I had that old of FW on the sight. My only fear would be the loss of all of the data I have in the scope. Remember, you will need good batteries in the sight. If you drop power during the upgrade, you will have big problems. AS

Thanks. Will have fully charged ATN battery pack, and fresh Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA's when I do the upgrades. Hope that it solves most of the issues I have with the unit.

Hi, Just installed the new Firmware. Sleep mode works OK, but only when using internal batteries. Gallery is now included, but the minimum physical range input is still limited to 25m. This can be lowered by using their Ballistics Rangefinder, which will go down to at least 10m.

I'll give it a go later this evening, fingers crossed for a clean install Here's how I'm going to do it (to cover all bases ): I'm going to export my profiles/zero to the SD card from Xsight 2 settings. Turn off everything on my scope just in case (SSS,WiFi,Bluetooth etc) Power off Scope. Eject SD card and copy all data on my card elsewhere. Fully format the card again. Put new 767 bin onto the formatted card. Install a set of fully charged internal batteries. Power up scope, hopefully update takes successfully. Then do a factory reset. Power off scope. Eject SD card All things being equal I'll be able to move back my oprofiles.xml file & replace the newly created DCIM folder with my original one from the SD card. Remove 767 bin file from SD card Reinstall SD card. Power up scope. Import back from SD card zero profiles. Reset lens type, reticule style, time and date if lost etc in settings. Ta da...hopefully. Does that look ok or did I miss anything? There is probably an easier way like just installing the new bin on you SD card and restarting the scope throwing all caution to the wind, this should work but knowing ATN I think I'd rather take the cautious route! Cheers, BunnyBlaster

Turned on the scope (wi fi connected to obsidian app) for 10 minutes sitting on desk unmoved scope still on

nevermind ... did a factory reset again .. sleep mode is under the display options in the scope Thanks
PS looks like sleep mode works (on the internal scope batteries) without the phone being connected but does NOT work with external battery pack on

All went well, update done and dusted in under 30 seconds. Factory reset and reset everything. Imported profiles. All looks good. As smoke says "sleep mode" in display settings (I'm using internal batteries), sleep mode tested and working fine (really pleased to get this functionality back). Compass seems more responsive too as does inclinometers but maybe that's just me trying to be optimistic Time to have a play to see what else is different!

Cool, love the gallery in the menu. Works well for perusing photos & videos. Better still the usb connectivity with my computer now works!! I was able to go in and read the SD card via my PC (maybe this worked for everybody else, it didn't for me) Next...play with app

Cool, app works well again and streaming seems much faster to connect and less lag using WiFi. It connects to the device much faster and is faster to read the gallery on the SD. Sleep mode does reactivate after a power down, it had to be turned on each time before using the app before after a power down (on mine anyway). Well I have to say I'm happy with this update so far!!! I reinstalled my android Obsidian app just in case it might have been corrupted. I had lockup issues with the Bluetooth causing me to do a hard restart last time when the Bluetooth functionality was added to the app a while back. Worked perfectly this time around. The image through the scopes viewfinder seems a bit clearer but I can't be sure as we are starting to lose light here in my neck of the woods. Yea, please with this update even if only just for the return of sleep mode

I'm on 747, anybody have a negative experience with 767? Just not wanting to mess up a good thing.
