After you have gotten your new Binox out of the plastic jail by taking the screw from the bottom of the box, filp them over and on the bottom you will find a grey cover that matches the unit. (same side as the mounting hole for a tripod)
When looking from the eye piece to the front the cover will slide to the right. That is the battery compartment. Insert the 3 included cr-123 batteries al in the same direction. Negative to the spring.
Reinstall the cover, it will require a sliding and downward force and it will slide in place.
To turn the unit on just push and hold the power button until the screen turns green , let go of the power button.
Adjusting the eyepieces.
The Binox are different than typical Binoculars when it comes to setting. Simply slide the eyepieces left or right to adjust for your eyes.
Menus
Press "OK" to enter the menu's, now is a good time to set the eye focus. once in the menu screen just take one eye at a time and focus each side to get clear text on the screen.
The menus are for individual settings to your taste. We will go further into this later as our main goal now is to get you up and running.
To exit the menus just tap the left arrow key.
Focusing for use to view whatever your flavor is.
The right lens is your focus for the view you see through the Binox adjust as needed.
The left lens focus is for adjusting the ir illuminator for night use.
Both of these rings are located at the opposite end of the Binox from the eyes.
To zoom
Simply use the forward arrow and the back arrow to zoom in and out.
Night mode, easy way tap enter twice and arrow over to the right twice. tap enter again and you will be in night mode. Now you have another choice, green or white mode. To change the mode just tap enter twice and arrow over again twice, now tap either up or down and that will change the mode.
To record video or take photos you will need a maximum of 32gb class 10 sd card. insert it into the middle hole on the right side of the Binox under the rubber flap.
To video touch either the left button for photos or right button for video.
If videoing in order to stop the recording just tap the right arrow key again.
To power down push and hold the power button and you will see a count down, let the Binox count down and the screen will go black , when this happens immediately let go of the power button. It may take a little practice to master the shutdown procedure so don't worry if it powers back up on you, just do it again and you will master that part in no time.
