(Photo via Neil Marsden )VELCRO BATTERY PACK
Tired of swapping out batteries? Use Velcro to attach a round battery pack to the bottom of your binoculars for additional power in the field.
Velcro can be purchased at any local hardware or craft store, as well as online on Amazon or from Velcro directly. We recommend using Velcro strips (rolled or pre-cut), not round fasteners, for the best support. You may also consider the weather-resistant "Industrial Strength" Velcro for additional strength.
As for a battery pack, you'll want something that is round and lightweight, like the Anker PowerCore mini or Instapark Novobeam.
Supplies needed:
- Velcro strips (1-4)
- Battery pack
- Scissors
- Paper towel
How to apply Velcro:
- Clean and dry the BinoX body and battery pack with water or alcohol wipe.
- Peel tape from Velcro fasteners and press firmly into place in the crease of the BinoX.
- Peel tape from other half of Velcro fasteners and press around the battery pack. Make sure the strips line up with those placed on the BinoX body.
- Plug in and connect battery pack to BinoX.

I used the tripod mount to attach a weaver scope rail to add an additional IR. Also working on a weaver clamp on battery pack as well. Still working on it. The additional IR works great.
