Are they both shoot-able at 25 yards? How grainy are they 3x12 at 9-12x & 5x18x at 15x18X? I am planing shooting hogs from 25 to 200 yards night vision & target shoot out to 600 yards day time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I use my X-Sight 3-12X in the range 30-80 yards, first one was a 5-18X but that was to much manification for my needs, for 200 yards I can't tell what to use.

I use my X-Sight both on the range at a 100 & 50 yard, at 50 yards I use 3 and at 100 I go up to 12. For night Hog hunting I found that I had to get a better IR illuminator. Found one on Amazon for about $60 and am very happy with it out to about 100n yards, haven't had a shot past that yet.

I use my 3x12 all the time for ranges out to ~300 yards. I find my eye adjusts best to the 5x but if things are close, I stick with 3x.

There is a simple rule for which X-Sight to choose
For SMALL critters (rabbits, rats, gophers, prairie dogs etc) always go for the 5-18x For LARGER critters (wolf, coyote, fox, deer, bear, feral pig, wild boar etc) than if under 250 general range get the 3-12x for the better FOV when tracking into quick moving targets If your general range is 250 or more, take the 5-18x
