I took my new LTV scope to the indoor range to sight in my rifle. When I put the target down range if went completely white in the scope. I did not have my illuminator on. I tried both day and night modes and all levels of contrast. I assume the issue is with the indoor LED lights and the lack of an IR filter on the scope. What is the secret so that I can see a target? The target had a 3 inch black center and I just could not believe how it completely washed out to full white.

The range master said they cannot turn the lights off. I was hoping for a more thoughtful response. Is there any filter I can put on this scope, or special targets I can buy?

Same issue here. Seems like the scope doesn't like high contrast images. If I occluded the objective with my hand about 30% I could get a useable sight picture(barely, and only sometime). I don't want to have to resort to a gaffer's tape iris. So yeah, a more professional fix would be desired. ND or polarizing filter maybe?

The old X Sight II came with a lens cap that had a 1 centimeter hole in the middle. Instead of fumbling with it I quickly bought a Monstrous Flip-up lens cap on Amazon and drilled a hole in it. It greatly increased the usability of the scope. Increased depth of field, decreased the amount of light coming in. At night, simply flip up the cap and off you go.
With that said, how do y'all like your LTV? Why this one and not the 4k model? What's the difference??

New to ATN scope (LTV). Similar white out experience sighting in new rifle at the range. Unexpected and frustrating (along with Zeroing zoom issue). Scope came with a rubber “shade” for the ocular lens, but the white out was being caused by light from the objective (muzzle end) lens. Was greatly improved by cupping my hand in front. I’ve seen some suggestions here about solutions ( flip up with drilled hole, etc). Looking for other solutions people have used. Didn’t see an accessory offered on ATN website. What size diameter is the objective lens?
