Ok put battery in the light and tap the button the light comes on for a second and goes out finally got it to stay on by twisting the cap super tight but it dont seem very bright at all. I can due the adjustment on the power level but you put your hand infront of the light cant even see it, is this how this light works?

You can't see IR "infrared" light with you eye unless using some sort of viewing device, as far as the light source in the middle of the light you can see a red glow, as for the end cap needing to be super tight, that should not be unless you are using a aftermarket battery and it being a tad shorter than original factory battery, I'm no expert by far, just a little info that I've obtained

Only had my scope for a few days but I can tell you this about the flashlight. When you are not using it, take the batteries out. Even in the off position there is some battery drain. I tested this using a voltmeter, believe it! Just in a couple of days your batteries will lose a lot of power. From some old threads I have read here this seems to be an ongoing problem. Not a big deal if you are aware of it and remove the batteries as you should do anyway after use. If you hunt and have dead batteries and no spares, you would be very disappointed. In any case you should always carry spare batteries, just in case.
