Zeroing ABL 1000

Got an ABL1000 yesterday mounted to a 4K pro

Problem is zeroing the ABL - when I go through the process the zero is always at the 2pm position and whatever I do to bring it down to centre, it doesn’t seem to change - I’m not running the latest firmware as it bricked my last scope and although the zero is off the system works a treat so reluctant to change up until I. Know it’s stable

I mounted one on the X Sight 2 and have a similar issue. My laser is always low and left when zeroing the ABL. After completing and ranging a target, the range box always goes to the same exact position the laser was and gives me inaccurate ranges. I've cleared it and factory reset the scope and it still does it. Trying to get a video but the recording in the scope doesn't show the action.

Anyone know how to get the ABL1500 rangefinder to line up with the scope reticle? I have aligned the range finder with the red dot, but when targeting, then pressing button for a range, the rangefinder red reticle isn't aligned with the scope reticle? Why?

Unless you shim the ABL to line up with the scope reticle, it will be where it is. It has it's own alignment.....That's just the way it is.You just center the ABL's reticle on what you want to range.

I just installed the abl on my thor 4, and it does the exact thing. I think that's going to be a problem when I actually start to hunt with it. Would there be any other solutions other than trying to physically shim the mount? I'm in Mississippi, and our coyotes don't stand around long. Thanks

I've been trying to get this fixed for over a year. They even sent me a replacement but it does the same thing. I even tried rotating all the way to the other side,upside down, and all it does is rotate the problem. Normally mine is lower right, if I rotate it to the opposite side it goes to the upper left. It's as if the laser pointer is not aligned properly. I believe it was probably a bad batch that came out together.
I use a Bog Death Grip while standing and when ranging a target it always ranges the ground 62yds in front of me. Or if I'm on top of a small hill with a slight descent in front of me, it will range the bottom of the hill right in front of me instead of the target straight out in front of me.
I'm glad, but sad, to hear others having the same issues. I am so tired of people (no-it-alls instead of helpers) saying you obviously dont know what your doing, or do toukniw how to read the instructions. I'm almost willing to bet there is no one that has tried to get this to work or spent more time on the phone for hours with tech while going through EVERYTHING than I have. I'm very persistent and have spent entire nights out camping trying every setting I could think of until the sun started to come up. I take a package of 5 Batteries everytime I got out. I ended up using them all in a 2 week camping trip trying to get it to work. Any ideas how long one battery lasts and you get the point. Oh yeah and not to mention the headaches from looking through the NV all night long.
I feel for you guys knowing what your going through. This covid crap has got everything on hold. I'm still willing to use it, it just needs to be replaced with one that wasn't part of a bad batch. They have worked so I know its possible. Like I said, I'm very persistent and not happy unless I can figure stuff out.
You know the question I seem to get the same response as asking a goverment official about aliens? WHY DID MY XSIGHT 2 COME WITH A FIRMWARE VERSION NEWER THAT WHAT IS EVEN OFFERED TO THIS DAY?? And it's 2 yrs old. Sorry, it makes me emotional because it never gets a response on here, Facebook or any other site I can find. It's been a couple months since I looked last but the current version was .779 mine came with .8?? I don't remember the exact number and batteries need charging or I'd looked to be certain.

My ABL 1000 is expected to arrive tomorrow, new in the box. If I understand this correctly, forgive me if I don't, but the ABL reticle sounds like it should be zero'd using the laser and then it can determine range to a target. Once the range is determined, the scope's reticle should be used. So, the ABL reticle and the scope reticle won't be in the same spot and the scope just receives the ABL's info to adjust POI. Is that correct?

In other words, when I get this scope, I need to zero the "ABL Reticle" using the laser.

I then range the target and get the distance.

Then, I switch back to my scope reticle and the POI is adjusted to the information received from the ABL.

Am I missing something or is that how it works? I'm just looking to make sure I understand how it works before I actually try and use it...
