My uncle just received a replacement scope for freezing issues he had with his new Xsight 4k Pro. When he tries to connect his scope to the app. it connects but when he clicks on the device to open settings it tells him unknown ssid and is just a black screen. Almost seems like it's trying to connect to old scope ssid but we've gone as far as wiping his phone to factory setting to be sure there were no residual settings still on phone or app from previous scope. No matter what we've tried it does not work. We're using the correct app and also did the bug fix firmware update. Even tried my phone and nothing. I used to be able to connect to his and mine no problem but now it's just the blank screen. Seems to me he got a reflashed scope that didn't quite get done correctly. Ssid can't be wrong unless it was done at ATN facility as we can't change any of these settings. Any ideas? Don't want to tell him to send it back as he just watched glaciers form waiting to get the last one back. I think they sent him a used/reflashed scope. Always thought this was funny, you pay for a NEW scope and receive and old used scope as replacement.

If the Scope name matches with what's in the settings of the scope, then it may have to go back. Sounds like a glitch in the software. Is the serial number different thanthe new scope he sent in for repair? If so, I'd ask them to replace it with a different new scope. I have had outstanding service dealing with Milen Yap.
