Hi, I just had my first day shooting and the scope worked fine for 3h yesterday. I zeroed it. However it did not move the reticle when manually changing the distance from 50m to 100m so I was low, but that is another story. The firmware was already updated to the latest, so I did not factory reset or update. Today I removed the SD-Card put it in my computer and powered on the scope - its DEAD! Its the same as described here: atnowners.com/thread/2657/hud-on-4k-pro-20The camera shows the picture and dims somewhat, even shifts the view a bit, but no HUD, no reticle, no menu, no buttons work, zooming does not work. Holding the power button for a long time turns the device off, when it comes on again its the same story, no HUD, etc. I tried to load a firmware update on my SD-card (xsight4k.bin, xsight4k_3_1_08_436.bin), but the scope does not react at all to the firmware in the root directory of the sd-card. Draining the power did not work, too: The scope shows the viewfinder, no hud, after a short time the screen goes dark and a while later the scope powers itself off. I just now found out that the device should not be able to handle a 128GB Card, but it formatted it OK, I used it on my Mac and viewed videos and pics from earlier sessions, etc. It even showed up as 133GB free on my mac, so I just assumed it can handle those SD-Cards ... strange. Any suggestions to un-brick the device? Thanks for any help, cat

See posts "http://atnowners.com/thread/2683/4k-pro-hd-white-screen". Roll back firmware to the .386 file if you have if not download it from the link in the posts. Try that. Or try "https://www.facebook.com/groups/ATNXSightUsers/"... the bug fix first.

I tried the USB update, but it does not let me choose a firmware. It downloads and flashes the latest automatically. Anyway it gets stuck at 100% progress-bar at the orange message "Init Board Done" and does not reboot. After that ... same symptoms as usual. Time to send it back on Warranty. :-(

Go to "Odino"'s profile and download the previous elf file. Use the Osidian program to install the file. Select "file" not from web, logged into expert mode.

Thanks, I found the instructions and tried them. I found out that the virtual Windows machine (Virtual Box) did not re-capture the USB Device (Amba IOUSBHostDevice) properly during flashing and one had to manually click it two times, so the update works and proceeds until FINISHED. Unfortunately the menu did not reappear after reboot and all was broken as before. :-( Now its really time to send it back on Warranty. :-( Thanks rmooretrans for your Help. I had a similar problem. No HUD or reticle, just a telescope when turned on. They said turn it on and leave it on until the battery is dead, then recharge for six hours and the scope should work normally on the next power up. We'll see.
