Hey everyone, just took my new x sight 4K pro 3x14 and it did nothing but freeze. I un boxed the brand new scoop and updated the firm ware to the latest version. Just got back from the range and the scope would literally freeze every time I tried to do anything, zoom, one shot zero, anything. I reset it numerous times and it still froze. Any suggestions?

Have you tried doing a factory reset in the settings? You should always do this after installing firmware

Yeah after I updated the firmware, I did the factory reset. I ended up taking the scope back to academy yesterday and exchanging it. Unboxed the new scope and it isn't freezing at all. However, I have not updated the firmware yet to the latest version. I am kind of nervous to update it, as I don't want to run into the same problem.

I’ve found it works better after the recent update. Maybe you had one with a faulty memory chip or the like. Mine does freeze occasionally still usually when I press record. I’m sure there’ll be another update soon

I have the same problem... Sometimes it freezes when I : - Want to record a shot - when I'm connecting to my cellphone
I was able to stop the scope by holding the buttons a long time, but sometimes I have to wait untill the battery is flat and then I have to load the battery

Using the app will make the scope freeze. I really wish ATN would fix that!!! Mine has never froze on its own. ONLY when Ive used the app.

It sounds like the night vision shutter may be sticking. First fully charge the battery and turn the scope on. If it stays in night mode, hold the power button down until it turns off (it may take 20 to 30 seconds). Try powering the scope back up and see if it reset itself. If it didn't reset itself I would then try switching from night mode to day mode with the scope upside down or on it's side. If this doesn't work you will have to call ATN.

I just experienced that very same problem. At the range today (first time out with scope) everything did freeze. Turned off was a problem. Hold on the power button for long time and the scope went off. Turning on after 2 minutes, was just as usual light push of the power button. Ones again, no keypad working, no magnification roller working. On top of that No menu! Got home thinking, Oh yeah, I read somewhere that ATN Scopes are experiencing that when cold outside. Well, it was 40F Not that cold at all! Now back in warm home...no changes to the scope behavior. You can see through the lens, but, no menu, no keypad working and no magnification roller working. My only hope is that someone would come up with experienced and proofed working suggestion that I could try. My other option is to put firmware card in and see if would trigger an install....Help please Ben
Update I inserted SD card with latest firmware and nothing happen! Not even a blink...With that I know that not only 4K Pro Scope menu not working. We know that keypad buttons are not working. Magnification roller not working, and now SD card slot not read either. ATN, please reply and/or send me a message what needs to be done. Thank you
Prior to today experience, I've done everything required by ATN and on the firmware page regarding firmware procedures.. Ben

Merry Christmas everyone! Little update: Battery did died, but, no effect on the problem!
I just got my ATN 4K Pro 5x back to work! Did as the video above suggested except one little difference. I had to choose my type scope in the first window to make the update button go blue. After that was a breeze... Imported my 6 settings of cartridges with it's BC and everything else required. It works at home for now. I'll see at the range if it's stays working... Thank you and Happy Holidays and one wonderful New 2020 Year Cheers

My 4k 5-20 scope has been blinking the last 4 or 5 times I have used it, and tonight the screen froze. My crosshair and other info was on the screen, but it would not let me access the menu or turn it off. This is my first year to use it. I have not updated the firmware yet. What do I do?

If you hold the button down long enough it will shut off , from 15 second to one minute .
