i received a new THoR 4 640 1-10 yesterday and when I insert the mini SD card with the updated software and turn the unit on it does not come up with a window to install the firmware or for that mater it does not even show the card is installed.
If I leave the scope on and eject and reinstall the card several times it will finally show the card installed and give me the screen to install the firmware but fails instantly and locks up, having to hold power button down over 20 sec to turn off. If I turn back on it goes straight to the thermal screen and shows card not installed. Acts like the card is not making the correct contact but it is snapping in and out like it should. I don’t have another card but that is my next step to purchase another card and try it.
Anyone else had a similar issue please advise, thanks in advance,

If the installed has a higher version number than everything should be fine.

Ended up purchasing a new 32g mini SD card and it loaded on the first try. Thanks for the help!

I’m having the same issue with the scope not recognizing the sd card. Received mine with firmware updated so no issue there. Going to get a new card and try today
