Got about 30 days into the 4K. Knew there were going to be issues based on comments but it is doing OK for me with one exception:
Can't get the Viewfinder streamed to my IPad. ATN Support just says send the unit back to them without much checking my settings. Would like to determine that this is my fault before long delay in having the unit.
Procedure I follow: Start Obsidian 4 / Connect to your device / tap my 4K unit shown (with correct SSID) / scroll to the right to Viewfinder / Get "Error Video stream is not available" / Try again button gives same result.
WiFi is shown on in blue in the Viewfinder
Does this function work for others?? This is kind of the last hurdle for me with this scope, then it will be satisfactory.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I know that all along guys have been having the devils own time with Odsidion and the IOS system. Are you able to get your hands on an android unit to try it on android. This will then tell you if it is a scope hardware problem or if it is firmware based. Mt best guess based on the issues I have seen reported around IOS use with the unit is that it will prove to be firmware related.

Let us know how you go. End users seem to have had an awful amount of grief getting these units working stable with the IOS apps.

"End users seem to have had an awful amount of grief..."
That's funny in that I spoke to someone at ATN support right after I got it (~35 days ago) and was told "Video streaming's not active yet but should be soon with an updated firmware."
Couple days ago, different person told me it should be working and I should send back my unit. I was too send proof of purchase in order to receive RMA. Sent that Friday am but no RMA yet.
I want to check out the Android approach first as I am leery of sending something back to Cali as I don't know how long it will be gone.
Will keep folks here apprised of my progress.

It would be nice if they just did an update to the IOS version of the App! I don't think there is anything wrong with the scope. My works with an older Galaxy Tab, but won't work at all with my iPhone or iPad, which leads me to believe it's the IOS version of the App!
The Android version could use some work also, I can't delete saved videos, it just says there was an error. Not sure how to get them off the android after I download them and move them to dropbox so I can edit them on my computer!

Same here, no live feed on iOS. I used to have it on my XSight II, so they had it working before.

To continue this thread: ATN said to send my unit back and that the IPhone steaming should be working... Shipped the unit from the Midwest 3/21 Email sent late April for status went unanswered. Today, a brand new 4K Pro shows up at my doorstep! It's on charge now. Don't know the software on it yet.
Hope this is not just a stall tactic and that more things will work.
Let you guys know of improvements, Thanks

OK, new unit: - was already charged, only took an hour to top up - already had firmware 3.1.05.349 installed. I believe this is the most current.
My challenge is to get the viewfinder streamed onto my Ipad. As it appears that multiple folks are able to stream viewfinder video to their Ipads as recently as Sept of '18, I am hoping I can be shown the error of my ways. Thanks in advance for support.
My 4K Pro: - viewfinder shows the Wi-Fi widget with a blue background after I connected it to my IPad
My IPad: - has IOS 12.2 - Shows Wi-Fi connection under Settings to xsight4K_xxxD
My Obsidian 4 sofware: - shows version 1.1 connected to X-Sight 4K: 3.1.05.349 - shows the 4k is connected via WiFi under the Connection screen - shows a Viewfinder Shortcut that when choosen gives an Error window saying Video stream is not available with Try again and Ok choices: - Try again produces the same Errow window and - OK puts you back to the Viewfinder windown with the Loading indicator spinning and spinning unsuccessfully for at least 5 minutes.
What next?

Hi, does anyone have issues succesfuly connect atn xsight 4k to Obsidian app on Android (both scope and mobile app are on the latest sw versions). I tried different android devices with the same atn scope with various results: Nokia 8 with Android 9: wifi connects, but Obsidian app shows Connect your device Nokia 5 with Android 9 the same result. Nokia 3 with Android 8.1 the same result Huawei P9 with android 7: connects and can manage the scope.
I am suspitious that android 8 and 9 are simply not supported?
Thanks for your feedback!

When this thread started 349 was the latest firmware. The latest version is 386 and after the update procedure my 4K 5X20 live streams to my IOS devices. If you haven't updated to 386 yet, download the new firmware and follow the procedures in the manual including the factory reset and selecting your lens. This may correct the streaming issues, it worked for me.

Well, disabling mobile data on the cellphone while connected to Xsigt wifi was advised by the ATN support. I tried and can confirm it works on my Nokia 8 with Android 9 now.

I’m glad you got it to work. I hadn’t thought about the mobile data settings, I leave them off most of the time anyway. Thanks to ATN for suggesting that and thanks to you for sharing the tip.

I was having the same problem with iphone/ipad. Fixed the problem by selecting 30fps or 60fps for streaming. 120fps is apparently not supported. Hope this helps someone!

I have been here trying to work out why my iPhone won’t let me live stream on the obsidian app, so I tried it on my partners android phone which came up with the same problem but told me that 120fps is not supported on live stream. After trying many of the suggested settings changes I then just changed the video quality to 60fps and it worked . I hope this helps.

SOLVED!!! Ok guys I figured out why it does t allow you to stream, go to your setting and make sure you are set on 1080p 60fps NOT 120 FPS, it will not stream with the newest update 3.1.11.480 and set on 120 FPS
