Anybody had a play with the Strelok app? Hve got iy on my phone and been playing with it in conjunction with my AR10 and Lucid P7 optic. Must say it is pretty smack on and impressive- very easy to use.

Odin, I use StrelokPro. This app is outstanding. The app is frequently updated with new reticles as new scopes and reticles are added and introduced. My favorite feature is the placement of the hold visually on the reticle to reflect your inputs. Excellent for long range hunting. Spend some time with it. Try the output holds for your scope and reticle. I can see it being useful for mountain side to mountain side hunting in NZ. Good luck.

Must say I really like the visual hold feature as well, and that it has the Lucid P7 reticle in it. Mate was using tables on his 300 win mag, now swapped to the same app. Waiting to hear about a recreational Thar cull sponsored by our Dept of Conservation that is meant to occur next month - if it goes will def take the 24" AR down and give the app a whirl. Cull will be nannys only to leave the bulls for the trophy guys. Suits me as I am only interested in meat on the table. Yet to carry a head out even though I have shot some pretty reasonable ones over the years.

Strelok works great. Just make sure your chrono is spot on. You can validate your speed by using your bullet drop at a certain distance by using your bullet ballistic coefficient value as a constant. The BC on the ammo box is not always that accurate and that creates problems with calculations

Totally - as in most computer based stuff - if you input garbage, then you will only get garbage out. Have my .308 on the range shooting 1/2" group at 200m with a 4x scope using the app. Cant even see the impact points till you walk out to the paper. Very satisfying when guys shooting beside you are using much more expensive and powerful glass and not shooting as tight.
