Follow these steps: Insert an SD card into the scope Format the SD card in the scope Turn off scope Take out SD card and insert into computer Copy the firmware onto the SD card, into the root folder (not the ATN folder created by the scope) Insert SD card into scope and turn it on This will prompt the firmware update. Click yes and wait for completion After you have updated the scope make sure you do a factory reset and then choose the correct Device/Lens Type.
If you have sighted in your scope then make sure you export your profiles and write down your X & Y.

You have to push the power button for 20 seconds. This will (should) switch off. I don’t find any utility in resetting. It runs as before. In any case, is e never ending story: in my case, after updating, the reticle is out of the center of display 😡

If I knew the result, I didn’t update. No improvements. No gallery in my IPhone. Loosing Wi-Fi connection every few seconds. ... Many jobs to do..,

This didn’t work for me. When I put back in scope and power on I don’t get update firmware Then I would look into the SD card you are using. Try a different card. ATN recommends a Class 10 (10 Mb/sec) or faster and have capacity from 4 to 64 Gb.

Here's what works for the xs2, maybe the same will work with the 4k.
If you are trying to install the same version number or lower and you have not changed the file name, it will not display an update window during power up. The file has to be a new version than what's loaded in the scope.
The way to get around that is to rename the file using a higher version number for the file name. Also, if the file is renamed to xsight2.bin it will load it during power up and display update window no matter what version it is.
I've done this many times with my xs2 and it's always worked.
I don't know if using the same xsight2.bin rename will work with the 4k, but you can try it. Maybe the 4k uses a different name? If so, maybe some can chime in and clue us in. I'd like to know, I just received my new 4k yesterday.
Cheers, PB
