I am trying to zero in my new sight, but the reticle line will not go low enough. I can see where the bullet made contact, originally about 2 foot low. I have moved the sight arrows as low as they will go, but it is still a good 8-10" away from where it needs to be. I have set all the information such as bullet weight, velocity, distance (starting at 25 yrds), scope height (2.5 inches). I have played around with the sight height from 9" down to 0" and nothing helps. My rail looks to be about a 1/2 inch tall. I am not sure I can go with any shorter of a rail as it might not eject the shell. It is a .308 Mossberg. Any suggestions?

All of the information that you have inputted only changes the ballistic calculations, not the sight in process. If you have only tried it at 25 yards, move out to 100 and see if you can get it sighted in. If not, then maybe a 20 MOA rail is needed. Honestly though, if you are already that low at 25 yards, I'd jump straight to the 20 MOA rail.

Ya sounding like a mount thing. I did have an issue with my mounts being loose. Couldn’t get it to zero but then I noticed almost all of my screws had backed out. Remove the optic from the mounts. Take off the mounting screws and wipe them dry. Use blue locktite on them and remount. My base is now secure to my weapon and the optic is now secure to my mount.
Also ensure your zero range and your listed range are the same when you zero. Theoretically it should cancel out but had issues there before.
If that’s not it try this before you replace mounts.
I would default it and check your rev and see if you have the latest and greatest.
I actually don’t update unless I see a fix for an issue that I need fixed.

You should only have to sight in at 25m and then change your range in the scope to adjust out for the range that you happen to be shooting at. If you are 2' low at 25m I would be looking at the mounting of the scope. ie are you properly seated on the rail? is your rail correctly mounted to rifle? Some pics would be useful to get a feel for what is happening. Also make sure that your BC is turned off during the zero process - essential.
