The 4K Pro has been shipping for several months now and it should have it’s own Board as we work through the issues that we have. I’ve had mine for two days and have had to call Customer Support twice. Both times were minor issues and they were resolved during the telephone call.
The first issue was about updating the firmware and the second issue was for a frozen screen. It took a call to Customer Support to find out pressing the power button would power the unit down after it freezes. These minor issues are the kind of questions that could be answered on a forum and reduce the telephone calls to Customer Service.
The next issue I would like to see ATN address is the Bluetooth connect from the LaserBallistics 1000 to the 4K Pro. The literature for the LaserBallistics 1000 states: “Using Bluetooth pairs with any ATN Smart HD Scope (2nd gen or higher) for instant Point of Impact Corrections”. Retired in Texas

Ain't it strange how ATN seems to be caught in a time warp, or something.

+1 on the 4K pro board. Why is it not there yet?
Is BT not enabled in the .185 firmware? (I read somewhere that somebody could not connect his Ballistic laser to it)

Nope, still NO blu tooth. New version changed the way a button or two work. I liked the older version better. Would be nice if we could use our $$$ range finders.

Retired in Texas I talked to ATN customer service today. He said the 4k Pro will only work with the soon to be released ABL (Auxiliary Ballistic Laser) range finder. It won't work with the laser ballistics range finder. Bad news for sure. Bluetooth is currently intended to be always on and therefor there's no icon to turn off. Also, the next firmware version is in final test prior to release.

Well, ain't that a crock of chit! So my fancy $300 ATN rangefinder is worthless, with this worthless scope. At least they match! And what customer service said about blutooth makes sense. I had one of my many tablets on the other day, and did a search for blutooth devices, and the 4K Pro showed up! I then tried to pair with my ATN rangefinder, but no go. Live and learn, NOT to buy ATN again.

Hi just bought the 4 k pro and on first use the screen has frozen and I can’t turn it off. I’ve tried to email atn with no response. I have tried multiple times to power it down by holding the power button down for various lengths of time but it won’t reset. It’s been on now for 16 hrs and still showing almost full battery. Anyone got any tips on force shutting this down?

Hello,
Help please!
I am having issues with my X-SIGHT 4K PRO 3-14X freezing. I have read the forums and many people say that holding the power button for 20-30 seconds will power off. No dice for me with that fix.
Is the only alternative to wait until battery drains, then cross my fingers , restart and hope it works normally?
Any suggestions any of you may have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Michael.

Michael, I had an issue with my 4K freezing also. I did get it to power down by firmly holding the power button down until it cycled. Make sure you have the latest firmware, .271 is current. The power issues I had were with the older firmware versions, it has not froze on me since I installed .271.

Jim, just wanted to let you know your suggestion worked. I held down the power button for about 2 min and system finally rebooted. Thanks again.

Gents - Due to collect my 4K pro tomorrow.
Is there an error free method/order of setting up that members have established?
The last FW upgrade seems to offer BT connectivity with both ABL and the original LRF BUT has the effect of degrading night vision performance.
Until this is sorted, I see myself installing FW.271 as being the most bug free to date.
Any further suggestions out there?
Cheers from England,
Ian

Ian, welcome to the forum. I haven't upgraded my scope to the latest firmware yet but I think the poor NV performance was with the the provided IR torch. I just read your intro and that doesn't seem that it will be an issue with you.

349 is the current firmware, if that is what is on your 4K Pro that is why it will not update. The sight height is the approximate measurement from the center of the bore to the center of the scope. My 4K Pro is mounted on an AR15 and the height is much higher than the 1 1/2 inches. This measurement affects the ballistic calculator if you are shooting at a range other than your sight in range.

Jack, try this. Follow steps exactly.
Turn on the scope. Do a “Restore Factory Settings” Turn off the scope. Remove the sd card. Format the sc card on your computer. Copy the latest .bin file to the sd card. Insert the sc card in the scope. Turn on the scope.
It should update. Also, be sure not to open the .bin file. It will corrupt. Make sure the sd card only has the .bin file on it when you insert it for the update. Let us know how it goes. Remember, this is a computer first and an optic second.

Jack, assuming the update loads, remember to do another “Restore Factory Settings”. Then reenter your basic settings, profiles and rezero. When you get your rezero and profiles set be sure to export the profiles to the sd card. Do that whenever you change a zero or any profile data. That way you can import the profiles from the sd card after any updates or Restore Factory Settings. Then only basic settings will need to be reentered. Good shooting.

The problem was that the sd card has to be formatted in FAT 32. I first did it in ExFat. It works well now Thank you Jack
