The front (objective) focus on my 4k Pro is incredibly hard to turn. There's no way I can stand offhand, keep it on a subject and focus. It's tough even with sticks. Any ideas on how to get it to turn easier? If I can't get it to turn easier, I'm going to need to make a ring with a knob that will give me more leverage than the little bump provided.
Thanks, Andrew

What we did with the X2 was to remove the ring, polish the inside, lightly lube and re-install. This freed it up heaps - the trouble seemed to come from the exterior paint inside the focus ring causing it to be stiff and grab. Imaging the new one is no different, although haven't had one to play with.

Are there any instructions available to perform the disassembly of the focus ring.

The X2 had 3 very small machine bolts with slot heads that went in on the lower edge of the knob - havent seen the XS4 however so may be completly different.

mbkustom - have been on the ATN site - the design looks to be very similar to the XS2. Can see 1 x hole in one of the pics. Look for 2 - 3 very small holes around the edge of the focus dial. Use a magnifying glass and you will probably see a small slotted bolt - you will probably need a little jewelers screwdriver to undo them (anti-clockwise). You can then remove the knob, clean up and lube the inside, re-install and use.
