Unfortunately, I live in New Jersey and we can only hunt deer with shotgun or muzzle loader. Is it safe to use the X-Sight on a 12 ga or will the recoil damage it?

Hello! I use atn x-sight II hd 5-20x on a 12 gauge shotgun Mossberg 500 for a year without any problems. Good luck! |

What kind of shells/load are you using? I also live in an area where it’s only shotgun/pistol and would love to use during deer season for day hunts, would think shorter slugs - 2.5/2 3/4 might help as well. Normally I shoot 3” slugs but the “feel” of recoil doesn’t seem any worse than my .308 - know there’s a lot of variables involved.
