Hi all, I have a dillema I need some advice on. All of my male staff are experts in firearms training. One served in the Army National Guard, and two have concealed weapons permits. The boys staff want to take and teach firearms training as a Pathfinder outing, and one of the two who has the permit to carry a weapon is upset that we are asking him to not take his weapon on any Pathfinder outings. I am trying to reason with these gentleman as to why there is such a strong objection to having firearms training within Pathfinders. I know that the church has a position on this topic, as the council given to youth entering the Armed Forces is to declare as non-combatants. What or is there an official position within the Pathfinder organization regarding firearms. I know that in everything I get from my conference about conference sponsored events plainly state that there are to be no firearms on site. How can I get the point across to my male staff and still maintain them within the ranks? Thanks I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
