Just wondering if anybody has had any success with mounting there Thor on a 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm a little concerned with recoil and how well it will handle it. I'm considering mounting mine on a new Ruger light stock but heavy barrel

Throw a muzzle break on it & you should be fine! They say it is rated up and including .308 so....

I have used the Thor 336 50mm for hog hunting and have not had any issues. Currently I am still attempting to zero a 336 100mm on this platform. Unfortunately the scope mount has been the issue. It is a double throw lever unlike the A.R.M.S. single lever unit on the 50mm. The recoil on the mount has caused me great angst. Serpent 408

On a 6.5 creedmoor you shouldnt have any issues at all. I would say mount it up and go to work with it. If you look at the felt recoil charts online you will find that a .270 has more felt recoil than a .308, with that being said a 6.5 creed doesnt have the felt recoil of a .308

etoolguy, The ATN scopes are the THOR 336 model w/50mm and 100mm objectives mounted on an AR framed 458 SOCOM. No electronic system failures related to recoil. IMHO, the 458 felt recoil is much less than that given by an M-14. As previously stated, I was still experiencing difficulties with the included quick release mount on the 100mm model. At this current time, I have resolved this issue on my own, aka no help from ATN. I do not wish to discuss that problem on this thread, but am willing to expand on the resolution on the one I started about it. Once I have all issues resolved with the ability to save my sight adjustments, I want to move one over to my 408 CT. Will let you know if it can handle that caliber. Serpent 408

serpent408,
I am thinking of placing my 640 5X on top of my .338LM Link to pic's but she's heavy and with the T4 Terminator Break recoil is that of a 243 with 300gr Berger OTM's @ 2750 fps!
Will advise,
"Doc"
