Hello everybody! does anybody likes this 2 features? I think it is not comfortable every time to get OFF dialog when needed to switch off the device! And if I see some target and need to zoom -- pressing "power" button by mistake instead of "+" button I will get a huge OFF dialog and loose the target at the background. Are we have some real hunters here? not bottle-shooters? =) I'm not so good in English to describe ATN how uncomfortable this two features works deeply in the night forest!! Could ATN add some chek-box for "OFF confirmation". I will disable OFF dialog. Someone who needs will enable dialog. What the problem? And dear ATN! Please minimize the size of this OFF-dialog and please made it transparent! Smooth Zooming. ATN describes this feature as a great advantage. In fact Zooming is very slow when hunter needs a rapid shot. Other sights like Pulsar have fast zooming - 1 clik = +1 to zoom. x3-4-5-6... etc. A great advice to ATN made one more check-box in setup menu to enable/disable smooth zooming. I wrought about this problem 1 year ago -- no any response from ATN. Could anyone help me? Because it is not a problem when shoothing a bottles or rats. I think ATN have to ask for some advices from real hunters who useing x-sight devices. Thank you! Best Regards! bear.mp4 (2.9 MB)

The reason the OFF dialog is there is for people that hit the power button by accident. The default answer is NO so all you need to do is tap the Enter button and it goes away. I like it that way. I sure wouldn't like the scope to go black if I accidently hit the power button. It takes too long for the scope to boot back up. For sure you'd loose your quick shot going that option. The more you practice with your scope, the more the button locations will be automatic.
As for zoom, it seems to have improved with FM 747 but I agree it's not really "smooth". At least I wouldn't call it that. BUT... The X-TRAC remote control does make it smoother and more precise although you have to roll the scrolling button a lot more. I don't really pay much attention to the power x-numbers on the screen except maybe after the fact. I typically zoom in to bracket or frame the view I want and focus. I use the scroll to fine tune the view.

Dear Texasken!
I understand that to power-off the sight by accident is more worth than to get off-menu for 1-3 seconds! But I'm practiced enough not to mistmatch "+" and "OFF" buttons. I need to off the sight without dialog with 3-secs delay. I think some novice hunters needs "Off-dialog". But I suggest the frame of the dialog must be smaller and transparent! So it is not difficult to add a chek-box to setup menu about off-dialog.
Zooming could be extremely slow if to enable Ballistic Calculations! It procceeded zooming 5 seconds after I unpressed "+" knobe!! So if you have a communications with ATN engineers please forward my advice to them. Needed fast zooming check-box also! The best way will be 1 click at "+" button caused +1X zooming.
I have a lots of advices as a hunter. But I don't want to overload engineers.. =) For example Sight battery bar is useless! NiMh baterries could operate for 10+ hours at 1.20 volts! But the sight will shows red uncharged battery bar and Video and Photo tools will be unavailable. I have Garmin Rino 530 radio+GPS station. And it has setupped NiMh/Li-ion batteries. If to choose Li-ion battery in setup then operation voltage will be 1.1v for min and 1.5v for max! If to choose Ni-Mh batteru in setup then operation voltage will be 1.0v for min and 1.35v for max! Today Ni-Zn batteries is appears! They have a great advantage for self-recharging when the sight is off! may be to add them too to the setup menu? So what do you think? will it be better to have a REAL battery monitoring in X-Sight? If you agreed then needed one more setupped option:
NiMh Bat 1.0~1.35V Li-ion Bat 1.0~1.50V NiZn Bat 1.0~1.60V
Thanks! Best Regards!
