My rifle wont fit in the slip with the 5x20 on so put back in bag after use and i replace it back in the exact place and its always out by at least 2" Any ideas why this is and its not wind thanks

There is play (windage/slipage) in your scope mount. Your rail is not a mil spec rail.

There is play (windage/slipage) in your scope mount. Your rail is not a mil spec rail. +1 and how you tighten the nuts matters too. For a constant pressure a torque wrench should be used. The nuts on mil spec stuff if tightened between 50-65in/lbs depending on the manufacturers specifications. Nothing like that sort of force should be applied to ATN stuff as it's only Chinese tat but a constant consistent clamping force is required and of course a mounting rail of reasonable quality while ensuring the same rail slot is selected to locate the mounts under lug each time. I'm using a Ken Farrell base rail and ARMS 17 mount and it's still not bang-on each time I remove the scope and remount. But it's not out by much, like a 1/2" @ 100 yards. If I was hunting at reasonable ranges every shot would be a kill.
