Powered device up with power pack and it went in to a Configuring Device..., then Configuring WIFI, then rebooting itself. Keeps doing this over and over. Buttons are non-responsive to any inputs or menus on the screen. About to send it off for a factory repair to reload the software, but wanted to avoid the turnaround time if possible. Any tricks of the trade out there that I can try? Here are the things that I have tried to do already, that haven't worked:
-Inserted SD Card (full FAT32 format, not a quick format) -Added firmware to the card, tried both unmodified file name and several variations of ThorHD.bin, Thor_HD.bin, etc. -Taken from an X-Sight II post, Held the power button once the ATN splash screen shows up -- I see the prompt show up but immediately after that the configuring device and wifi boxes appear on top of it. The buttons do nothing to move the prompt options behind these "configuring..." boxes. -Taken from another X-Sight II thread, pressed the center button 5 times at the ATN splash screen to hopefully let me get in to setup menu and reset device. Same issue as above.. buttons not responsive and can't do anything with the menu that pops up. -Tried with lithium batteries, power pack, etc. Left the power disconnected (and no batteries) for 24 hours, no impact. -Tried hooking up the HDMI to an external monitor, per the ATN tech support guy's suggestion, but two different monitors and TV's wouldn't pick up a signal from the scope.

Take your SD card out and place in your computer and delete everything saved on it. Then go to the ATN site and upload the current version of firmware and reinstall everything. Let's see if that does what you need? Let us know....

I ended up having to send in to ATN for them to manually reload the firmware. The unit was basically bricked.

Received my thor 384 yesterday, worked fine, bought a new micro sd card and when I installed it I am now having the exact same issue.
Boots up, then tries to configure wifi and then shuts off, repeats until you take batteries out.
Owned it less then 24hrs, no way I'm sending it for repair if they can't fix it without doing so. It will be returned.
Let me know if there is any work around to do a hard reset please.

My BinoX is having the same issue, infinite loop with configuring wifi at startup. This is my third unit. The first two were returned to original purchase store. First unit had multiple issues. Second unit had the right side viewing lens go blank. I just received the third unit 2 days ago. BinoX was working great until last night when the wifi loop occurred when powering unit on. I have tried some possible cures that I have researched but no fix yet. I removed batteries, formatted SD card, tried loading original firmware that came with unit, doing a hard reset by pressing the enter button 5 times when the ATN logo appears. Nothing seems to give a glimmer of hope for this unit either. Academy Sports has been gracious with me on the first two returns, but the store no longer carries the BinoX. In order to receive my third pair, Academy had them shipped to me from another store that had one in stock. I'm really frustrated woth my experience with the ATN company. I'm gonna try contacting ATN support by phone. How has your experiences been with the support team at ATN?

Where are you guys getting your batteries and SD cards? It would seem that these are the two most critical parts of the system. There's too many fake SD cards on Ebay that I don't even look there anymore. And as far as batteries, NOTHING but Lithium based batteries will supply the needed current and voltage for the ATN devices. Its been proven time and again and posted to this forum countless times.

I use Kentli's and Scandisk--both have worked fine in my xsight oi for 6 months. My Thor worked fine until 747 firmware installation.
