I just got a great bit of information about my newly ordered X2 3x from FedEx:
Ship date:
Thu 3/09/2017 AURORA, IL US
Scheduled delivery:
Sat 3/11/2017 by end of day
SWEEEEEET!
Bought it Tuesday the 7th then they "processed" it Weds, Picked it up in Florida yesterday and will deliver it tomorrow! The best part about it for me is that it's going to be too cold to put up my Portable Garage I bought for my new Expedition( my 2 car garage is full with my 2-seater car and my motorcycle collection of vintage bikes) so it doesn't get all the sap & crud from the oak trees.
Now I'll be able to take my time getting it mounted & setup properly or at least setup if I end up having to wait for the mount options I bought. I bought two different mounts in case I don't have the appropriate dovetail to weaver mount in my box of different mounts. I HATE waiting so I usually over-order.....a bad habit I developed when restoring motorcycles.
AND IT'S FRIDAY SO IT'S MY LEAVE WORK EARLY DAY!!
YEA ME! <LOL>

LOL, of course not Walt ...I bought the 3x instead of the 5x since most of my shots here are well under 100 yds! This thing is sweet! I first formatted a 32GB micro card this morning and downloaded the latest firmware to my desktop then copied it over to the newly formatted card. After I first mounted it, I turned it on to be sure that it worked properly and other than a bit tight front focus, it's fine. I set the menu to the "exit" icon and shut it off. Then I inserted the micro card and turned it back on and it updated each part of it's firmware with no glitches. After it restated, I moved through the menu items then back to EXIT and shut it off. Turning in on a third time I connected my wi-fi to my phone and used it to turn on the night vision....flawless. The stock IR illumination appears to have changed as well with a nice larger lens(still w/magnification) and very simple rear twist switch between 3 different steps of illumination. Since most of my plunking is going to be at 40 yds or so for now, it would work well. My entire rig weighs exactly 10 pounds....a bit heavy if I were walking several miles in the woods but for plunking off my deck, it will be fine. I guess I got lucky or their QC has improved but I really appreciate all you guys who go out of your way to help the new guys because it gave me a LOT of info to read and learn from. Hopefully, I gleaned enough from you guys to keep from making the same mistakes that others appear to have made, causing their issues with the operation of their scopes. FWIW, the serial # of mine is 312xxx so I would hope by three hundred thousand scopes, they would get it right and so far, it seems that they have. Here's my pellet rifle with the scope mounted. I'm still waiting for my close mount so it won't be so tall (C/L of scope to C/L of barrel is 3-3/8") but it won't stop me from trying it tonight! erad

Just got outside at 8:30PM....HOLY CRUD this thing is SWEET! With the light on low, it completely illuminates the woods, 50 yds deep! My sweetheart wwho also shoots was even more impressed than I was with this scopes night vision capability....I'm going to have fun with this!

Just got my X-Sight II 5-20x last night. Pretty impressed after playing around with it. With the IR850 set to flood I was still able to see my shed which is 50yds away. Forgot that you can turn the focus ring on the IR illuminator to project a tighter beam. Will have to try that tonight.
This will keep me busy until the new Pulsar Trail Thermal Imager is released.

Yeah, I've had it a couple days now and have played with it night and day and I love this thing but my rig is VERY heavy at 12.4 all in. I must have weighed it before without the batteries or external pack attached when I got 10 pounds. I did swap out my mount for one that attaches at the rear of my synrod .25 and allowed me to move the scope rearward about 3 inches and down 5/8". It moved the center of gravity much closer to my body making it much easier to hoist it into firing position.
We had snow here this morning so before work, I removed the sunshade and without the IR light, took a little NV video to see how well it did with no moon or stars....just the reflected light from the snow. I could actually see better with my eyes then the scope....but as soon as I twisted the IR light to "low" it really lit up the world behind my house and because all the trees were covered in snow, the IR light, even on on low, was in danger of washing out the view!
Heavy but nice!
