I have downloaded the app to my phone and it will do most things I asl but when I go to the viewer it goes off and I get back to my home page on the phone.

I have downloaded the latest firmware so I would be open to any suggestions you have please.

If you're using an iPhone, I'd guess it's a bug in the app. The app has been very glitchy since ATN rolled out a new version in early January. You may have to wait until ATN corrects that glitch before yours works properly.
