Same question here. That tiny cap is nearly impossible for me to deal with. A cover which slips over the entire lens assembly would be nice.

I bought the #7 Butler Creek cover and it appears to fit pretty well, but so far that is the only option.

What power lens do you have that Butler Creek #7 on? Mine's a 2-8x, and I know the sizes are different.

There are a few butler creek that will work on the 384 1.25X5. I went with Item # 30130 1.530 inch / 38.9 MM cover.

I'm also interested in a replacement cap for the 2-8x. Did anyone ever find an answer?

I am looking into a custom fabricated flip up cap for the 640 5X and 100mm lens will advise....

Truthfully, I haven't sent my data on my scope measurements to my fabricator. As soon as I get around to it and get it back and test it I will post here for sure!

Just measure your diameter and buy the closest Butler cap. You can always use electrical tape if it's too loose.

I just got Butler Creeks #10 flip up lens cap. Works Great! Good fit.

I lost my front snap in lens cap,any suggestions on flip up front cap to fit my 1.5x 5 thor 384HD ?

Butler Creek Flip open #17 fits nicely and grips the focus ring so you can make small adjustments.
Focus is not as critical on the 25 mm lens (2 x 8) as it is on the 50mm lens. So first adjust focus, then install the cap with the hinge up.
