I have the ll model and the supplied IR is the latest(?) one with the rotary switch on the battery cap.
I want to mod it to run from the external battery pack. Why? because I can ...
The IR is powered by 2 X CR123 3v batteries, so to my mind the pill is powered by 6v. However the output of the External Power Bank is 5v.
Question, How detrimental will the 1v drop in supplied power be to the output, bearing in mind I do not shoot over 100 Mts as yet?

I imagine a 50KmAh battery pack would add considerable "tonnage" to your rifle package. I use a 10K battery that fits in a butt stock magazine carrier. My field ready AR tips the scales at 13.5 pounds. That's not bad if you're in a blind with support but gets heavy real fast in the field. I've run the 10K for several hours at the range and it never even dropped one of the charge indicators. (Four in its case.) Waiting on the BIL to get time off for a hunt.
