I've got a question for all you guru's, if you have an answer for me please let me know. I own an x-sight HD 1, the 5x18 version. Using eveready lithium batteries, and an external power pack. After having the scope on for 2-5 minutes it quits responding to menu changes, can't take pictures or videos, the power button usually still works, but on occasion will not. Powering down or removing the batteries/power pack and rebooting will fix it. But, it's a huge inconvenience to have to do this constantly in the field. I read something somewhere that suggested this was an issue that had to do with the "standby mode" but that's all I could find perusing the web. I have sleep mode shut off completely, any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Not sure if this is the fix, but Leave the AAs in your pocket, and run the external power pack only. Might help!

sandman - maybe also write down your profile axis and then do a factory restore. It may be that there is a little old conflicting data there. A bit of a pain to do but if it solves the issue it is time well spent.
