So I bought a 384 three years ago, even bought the extended warranty, the battery would never reach 100%, no response from seller, but it worked.
Recently the scope stopped working completely due to battery issues, and read "Battery is non replaceable", since it was out of warranty, decided to try to fix it (It's already fucked, why not) myself as I am good with electronics, well I took it apart wrongly, and tried removing the battery (The proper way is to remove the two plastic cups surrounding the sd card and usb port, two screws each, then the top comes off, hind sight is always 20/20.) well the upper PCB got ripped off of several of its tiny surface mount components which are now lost forever, and it si sure not to work. Battery is easily replaceable, if you know how to take it apart.
Problem is, my $3,000 scope is now useless. I contacted ATN, no response (yet).
I was thinking of buying a cheap X sight of the same design, hoping the top board was universal, but the software would be different (Would it even work?) Might be screwed, just have to buy another one, and have this one for parts (?!?) or hope I can find a THOR similar to this that has other issues that I can get the top board from.

That sucks to hear, but hopefully you'll hear back from ATN. If not, I have a working 1.5x that I'd sell you for half what yours cost.
