Hi guys
Having a nightmare zeroing my 4k pro
It's a year old, purchased from new
when I got it, I zeroed the .223 and .22rf with ease, followed the process, worked fine
Took the .223 out the other night and missed the target by a few inches, seemed right and low
decided to try a re zero
cleaned the barrel out to make sure that wasn't the issue
Checked and re torques the mounts (these are UTG LE grade Lever release)
Fired a few groups off
Now group 1 for example was 2" left and 6" low
Did the necessary adjustments to get it near the group and found that the impact had only moved about an inch up and 1/2 right
tried again and same thing happened
Third time I ended up putting a group top right of the target after moving crosshair slightly more than I needed to - I was trying to go past the bull which I managed to do by several inches
Switched to my Sightron using same type of mounts and bang on - 3 shots, 3 bulls
went home
Did a firmware update and a factory reset
tried again same results
basically when in zero mode the crosshairs were moving on screen to the correct position but impact no where near where it should have been
switched to Sightron and this was spot on yet again
Switched to .22fr and similar but persevered and managed to walk crosshair onto bull - eventually
@100 Yards .223 grouping at sub 1" using PPU 55gn SP
@ 50 yards .22rf grouping at sub 1" using Winchester subs
Also removed moderators on both rifles to make sure bullet is not clipping the moderators
Everything that should be turned off is turned off, I'm not using an ABL
Obviously I can send it back under warranty but really puzzled as to why it's doing this
Anyone else got/had similar issues?
