I have a 3-14 with the latest firmware (510). Scope was working fine last weekend. I left it on the charger overnight and when I turned it on this evening the scope was locked up, solid grey screen and buttons unresponsive. I held the power button for 15sec to turn it off then restarted it. The daytime mode seems to work correctly indoors but outdoors on a perfectly clear night the scope is incredibly blurry and I can barely see a target past about 25yds! I tried the basic stuff, restart, clean the lens, different zooms, go to day and back to night mode etc. I have tried all settings on my 850 illuminator as well as an LED spotlight, even with that I cant see anything clearly past about 25 yds.
As soon as I jumped on here I saw another member in the shoutbox had the same issue last month. Has anyone found a solution to this? Can I re-install the same firmware? Very Frustrated! Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Please submit here or feel free to email me jtrottany@yahoo.com Thanks!

You're adjusting the focus, right?

yes, it's not out of focus as much as it looks like you are looking into a wall of thick fog- beyond 25yards is just a grey abyss.

Sometimes mine does that when it wakes up from not moving for the 15 minutes but it works right after I turn it off then back on. Also I forgot about the two focuses a while back. one is for the reticle and the other is for the view focus. Have you tried playing with the extended zoom in the settings?

Zoom is set to standard. ATN walked me through a factory software reset, won't know if it worked until it gets dark out. They said if that didnt fix it, it would need to go in for service... fingers crossed

Hope it works!! My first one went back and my second one works pretty good but I am afraid to upgrade the firmware. I did shoot about a 300 lb. hog using mine a few weeks ago and got some great pictures and video's of some bucks as well. I have mine on extended zoom but anything past 9X gets fuzzy.
