My wife bought me the x sight 2 hd three years ago for my birthday. The first year I didn’t use it because I filled my buck tag archery hunting. Last year I went to use it and it wouldn’t hold a charge and I found out the batteries exploded in it and leaked. I cleaned it all out and the terminals all have sprint to them now. The AA alkaline batteries died immediately so I bought AA rechargeable Lithium Batteries. I’ve been messing around with it and plan on putting it on a tripod or mount to use this year. With the new batteries fully charged it kills them in about 15 minutes. I had the Bluetooth on because I was messing with the app as well. Is that battery life normal or did something get messed up internally. Using an external power source it works fine. I am also looking for recommendations for an external pack that won’t break the bank and will hold up on the cold.
