Hi All,
I've just recently purchased an ABL 1000 (it's in the post as we speak), I have an X-Sight 2 5-20X and an X-Trac remote. Here's the question, will the X-Trac remote work with the ABL to range a target? Not really finding any info online except for the 4K pro etc, nothing really about the X-Sight 2
I just thought I'd ask you folks in case someone else had all three and got them working together, I do know already that the X-Sight will talk to the ABL, it's the X-Trac I don't know about. I want the X-Trac to be able to activate the ABL if you know what I mean opposed to tapping the power button on the scope to get a range reading.
Cheers, BunnyBlaster

Well X-Sight II BIN 779 installed, profiles reloaded and sight still working....phew! I was avoiding installing 779 as my unit was working fine and 779 only apparently offered the ABL update, didn't want to risk it but as I have an ABL coming I needed to install it. To people new to the ATN software updates, in the past sometimes they took away functionality oppose to giving it! Remember we had sleep mode then it disappeared and then it came back again in another update. Everything seems grand, so I'm a happy bunny

Awh nuts! While the ABL & X-Trac will both pair with the X-Sight 2 at the same time the X-Trac remote has no button that will trigger the ABL to work. I tried holding buttons down and double taps...nothing! The ABL triggers as usual by tapping the X-Sight power button on the main sight body. Maybe another X-Sight update along the way will add functionality to the remote, here's hoping I encountered a bit of a problem which just applies to my current setup, I'm using a contessa mount on my X-Sight for QD picatinny mounting. The ABL will not twist/screw off the x-sight objective as it hits the contessa mount, the ABL needs to be dismantled to remove it. Pity! The other minor problem is I use an adjustable iris that I fit on the outer side of the shade, there is no thread on the ABL shade muzzle end. I reckon a bit of guntering is required to resolve the above, it's custom sunshade time
