Hi friends!
I have a big issue with my scope since was new... It never made a difference to me because I only hunted during the day, but now I wanted to go hunting wild boars at night and with this problem this is impossible. Even with the infrared flashlight on, absolutely nothing can be observed over 10 yards. during the day is spotless, no problems.
What happens with my x-sight is that when I try to switch to night vision nothing happens, the letters on the display remain white, do not turn yellow and the image remains in color, and neither do you see or hear the fitro infrared switch on ... I ken see the color theme menu, and light sensivity, but is not available either... With the obsidian app, when i try to switch to nigth mode, it says it's not supported ... The problem is only the software managment of the my x-sight 2. Is not fisical or ajustments, a frind a my have a same scope, and we have exhausted every possible hypothesis.
I already updated the firmware, and it remains the same. Is there any update you have to solve this problem ??!
Please help me
Sincerely

Please help me Sincerely Hi, Firstly let's establish exactly what you have, X-Sight 2, which one (3-14X or 5-20X)? Which firmware did you update to, BIN.779 is the most recent for the x-sight 2's? I know of only one of three reasons why night vision doesn't work 1. leaving the diopter disc on at night time (the lens cap disc with the hole in it) 2. IR shutter stuck due usually to recoil 3. NV mode is not correctly being selected, but that one is rare as it's pretty straight forward as explained in the manualWith one and two above the text will change colour when night mode is selected. I'm reaching here but my best guess is that you have the wrong or corrupted software installed, or maybe you never told the X-Sight what it is after you updated the software (in system menu go to settings and check which lens type is selected) but I really don't think this will cause a NV issue it just messes with your zoom function. Anyway, if all else fails write down your current zero profiles ( your current shooting profile X & Y coordinates ) and then do a factory reset (make sure your batteries are fully charged when doing this)! A factory reset should always be none after a firmware update anyway As the manual says: 9.Once the Firmware update completes, please do a factory reset before using the product.
10. Please remember to delete the Firmware File off of the microSD card after all steps are completed.Cheers, BunnyBlaster

Sorry you're having issues with your scope. I've been pretty lucky with my 5-20 XSII so far. Perhaps I shouldn't have said that. From my experience, I have to respectfully disagree. Leaving the diopter disc on at night has nothing to do with whether it performs correctly at nite or not. I leave mine on at the inboard position 100 percent of the time. Have zero problems at nite. I use the 850 PRO IR. Can see easily out to 300 yards at night. Not sure what the remedy is, as when you select NV, the screen should always change to your selected NV format. Either white and black or green and black. Why it remains in color is obviously not normal. Check all the preferences for NV to make sure you covered all the bases. Some people have offered the suggestion of slapping the side of the video scope to free up the NV shutter. I've never had the issue, so I can't confirm this actually works. Still puzzling the image remains in color when switched to NV mode. Perhaps some professional help from ATN is in order. I don't have mine in front of me to walk you thru it, but check all your preferences first.

Hello, an old post, I know, but I have the same problem with my X Sight 2 HD 3x14, after updating to the latest firmware version .779 from the ATN side, I can no longer switch between day and night mode. With an old version like the .669 this works without any problems. After the update, the last setting is retained, i.e. if the night mode was active before the update, this is also active in the new one, but you cannot switch to day mode. Does anyone have version .779 where that might work? I had already written a new post here because of the error, unfortunately without feedback so far. Thanks in advance!
