Problem with pairing the ABL to the x-sight 4K pro 3-14. Forgot to turn off the device one day and when I tried using it again it didn’t work. Thought that the battery had drained so changed it but same problem, put in another new battery but same thing. Tried repairing it but it doesn’t find it at all, tried resetting the sight to factory settings and also to hold the Bluetooth button on the ABL for a long time to reset it but nothing seems to work. What could have happened?

Hi, I sent it back to the reseller and they said they couldn’t solve it. Had to go to repair and could take weeks, so I asked for a handheld ballistic rangefinder instead. Works fine (although the included manual instructed that the button for pairing should be held in for 2 seconds, did not work! Found another manual online that said push button twice fast, worked!)

Exact same problem: X-Sight 4K Pro 3-14x with ABL-1500: it worked flawlessly from start, but after a few days I forgot to switch the ABL off. Two days later, it didn't work anymore. Replaced the CR2 battery with a fresh one (tested), but the ABL doesn't pair anymore. Tried factory reset, etc: nothing. Need to sebd the ABL back, but... What will happen next time the battery depletes?

Nope. I had to send it back under warranty. It returned (replaced with a new unit) after months (!) and now it works fine. Still don't know if it will die again after a full battery draining.

Just an update, the ABL wouldn’t power up at all so was replaced. I suspect the el cheap batteries that come with it spike when they get low. Installed some Duracell/Energizer lithium’s and it works a treat. Hopefully it doesn’t have the same issue moving forward.
As an aside I had ATN customer service reach out but as soon as they found out I was from Australia, they stopped engaging - pretty poor form.

I have the same issue. I left the ABL 1500 on and the battery died. I put a new Duracell in and it wouldn't pair even though the scope said it was paired in the setup menu. This was incorrect because the blue tooth symbol was not highlighted. If this is a common problem, they should have a low-power graceful shutdown instead of waiting for the ABL battery to deplete fully. I'll call Far Is there a hard reset for the ABL? Inquiring minds want to know. Looks like I'll ring Faris at ATN tomorrow.

An update on my ABL 1500 not pairing with the 4K Pro. I checked my old CR2 battery with a voltmeter and it passed. I went to Wally's World and got a new CR2. Everything paired. I'm a trained U.S. Navy Electronics Technician. I have learned over the years to just accept it and move on. I don't know what was up with the previous CR2.

Same issue. I left ABL on for few days. Now tryed 2 different new batteries (one from the forest bag Panasonic and one brand new GP). The one depleted (was also Panasonic) had 2,0 V the one from bag has 2,96 V and the brand new one had 3,2 V. No change. Does not work. After half an hour play the brand new GP is also 2,96 V. So something happening inside ABL. But still unable to pair again.... Tomorrow I try another brand new battery.... Is there an known power circuit issue? Like low voltage permanent self damadge
