I was out hunting last night and my Binox functioned normally for a while, then began to degrade to the point that I couldn't see beyond 20 yards. At first I thought the atmospheric conditions might be a problem, but it was clear, 65 degrees, and low humidity. I decided to try on internal power and discovered the internal batteries were dead. I swapped for fresh batteries and everything was great again on external power. I don't understand why the condition of the internal batteries should affect the operation of the Binox night vision when my external power supply is fully charged and functioning correctly. What's the deal?

Talked to atn tech, was told external battery does not run ir light like you would expect it to. So you have to have internal batteries installed for ir to function properly.
