Hi, I just purchased a 2012 year model ATN Thor Series thermal and have used it about a half dozen times.
Here is the scenario of the problem: I shot at a group of hogs (rapid fire) eating crops and on the third or fourth shot the thermal turned itself off instantly. I can't get the scope to turn back on no matter what I try.
Here is what I have tried to correct the problem: Three sets of fresh batteries, I even checked the voltage on the batteries and all are at least 3.24 volts. I cleaned the copper terminal inside the batter compartment of the thermal with alcohol per the troubleshooting guide in the manual. I inspected all the batter compartment springs, etc. and see nothing abnormal.
History on this unit: It is used but wasn't used much by the previous owner and is good cosmetic condition as has not been damaged to my knowledge. It has turned itself off in the past under similar scenarios but only when the battery is less than 25% capacity. When this happened in the past I changed the batteries and it powered up and worked normally again immediately.
Please help!! The hogs are eating our crops like crazy and we need this thermal to combat them.
Thanks in advance for anything you can suggest I try to fix the problem.

My thor4 same thing, used last night and worked fine. Today it will not power up after charging it all night. I have only used bc a couple time. This will be the 3rd time I’ve ever charged it and even now battery wasn’t completely dead. What I’m saying is it has not been used enough for these problems. Can anyone help?
