You will probably need a rail that fits onto your picatinny that extends further back. Leave this attached to tour ATN and that will allow for the swap out. Marks on the picatinny will allow for placement with minimum re-zeroing.

Although you may want something more solid as 300WM kicks like a mule.

Sometimes you must get a riser and extender because the bolt handle hits the battery cap when the scope sits too low.

Ok, you confirm me the necessity of rail extend, but for the distance? Someone can help me? Usually I place the optic at 11.5 inch ,more or less, the same for x-sight II?

I have found best to hold the rifle as i would use it and get a mate to hold the XS2 until it all comes together comfortably for eye relief- that is your distance - it is further back than you might imagine. Are you stalking your pigs or stand shooting them?

On mine I am running at 190mm from stock to rubber on eyepiece. This is however on a Ruger 10/22 setup in a bullpup kit. Am running a fully suppressed barrel and we stalk the pigs at night. can usually stalk to within 30m or so and then am able to place a suppressed round at the base of the ear - dont waste any meat that way. Can sometimes get 2-3 out of a mob before they realize that something bad is going down. Quite an exciting type of hunting - It is all about wind, quiet and method to get in close.

Unfortunately, I have ~6 meters at a distance of 40 meters, a very narrow range and when I'm lucky I can see 3 pigs. Your hunting it should be very exciting!! Saturday I take a pic of the place!

Do you use Tuna Oil to bring thm into your area - works well here for the static hunt boys.

Nice looking spot. You may have issue with IR light blow back on one angle. I would just use the standard light and focus it down to a pencil beam. You could even mount remote IR floods running off 12V batteries and nothing on the scope if you are in a static stand.

dolohunt - think IR security floodlights, they will run off 12V batteries. Have seen pictures of some of the guys in the US with auto feed stations that are remote lit with IR floods.

Dan, I thought I would give an answer to your question about eye relief. The manual states that the distance from your eye to the lens should be approx. 3.5 inches ( about 89 MM). You can adjust the eye relief by mounting the scope on to the gun, but leave the scope rings slightly loose, shoulder the weapon, now look through the scope you will want to see the maximum image. Move the scope in order to achieve the full image, now lock down the scope rings. Good Luck.
Your English is much better than my Italian. Look forward to talking more.

But your rail maybe it is better than mine. I have a doubt, it is rally necessary a SBP12? If I mount x-sight on rail without any adapter, what is the problem?

Hi dolohunt, To be honest I've never had a problem getting my X-Sight to fit anything I own. From the start I've fitted an ARMS 17 mount. This wouldn't have changed the mounting position except for the height( it'd be a bit lower with the arms mount) I only bought the sbr mount for the return to zero bit. I want to swap between a burris Eliminator 3 and the x-sight. Cheers, BunnyBlaster

I have mine on a Ruger Predator. I mounted it as far back as possible. It’s a little bit of a stretch but I can make it work.
