The lens on your scope is made from germanium. It is very fragile and also has a special coating. This material is costly. Do Not over clean your lens! Clean it only when absolutely necessary. You can wear off the coating and a new lens is Very costly. Oil from your skin can damage the lens. High quality alcohol wipes are best to clean with.
Don’t point your camera at the sun! Can destroy the sensor.

It is amazing the technology they are coming up with! The ability to now go from 100mm Germanium Lens to 40mm Germanium lens and twice the video resolution and detection range 800 meters farther! Just imagine if they were able to upgrade our current THOR HD models with the new elements seen in THOR 4 ;o) Better Sensor and more Germanium might just be "CRAZY" in a very good way ;o)

So I can use hospital (1st aid) sterile type alcohol wipe to clean the thermal lens (the thermal lens... ie: not the view lens) and
