My Xsight worked flawlessly OOB - zeroed flawlessly, went to hunt this AM and all it would do was boot up right into a "configuring wifi" Screen, then after a few seconds it would reboot and do it all over again. I have tried removing the batteries, i have tried to install a firmware update but it wont even recognize the microSD. any thoughts?

Try to go in on your obsidion app if it is setup. Failing that I think from memory pressing the menu button as the ATN logo comes onto screen gets you into setup. Have seen mentioned that timing is the key with that one and it can take several attempts. How long have you removed the battery for?

Batteries have been out for i'd say atleast 20 minutes. If not more...

Yes - phone app - if wifi configured you should be able to slip in using that and do a factory restore. Trying to find where I read re the menu button, but havent yet.

Am just heading out the door hunting for a few days - I am sure someone will have the solution - if not when i get back I will go looking for the thread - am not sure if it was on here or over on the FB pages. Good luck. Keep us up to date on how you are getting on. If in USA you could try ringing tech support at ATN.

Is there any sort of pre boot/hard reset option? Outside of removing the batteries?

In the settings menu you'll find an option for factory reset.

Boot the unit and hold the power button down... This will take you into the boot and then leave you at an option to "Really Quit". Say "No". I think that will get you into a menu where you can do a reset. There is a thread about this process somewhere on the forum.

He didn't say if it the above suggestions worked for him or not obviously they didn't work on mine or I wouldn't have asked Thank you for that correction. You might try to revert to the old firmware and then reinstall the newer firmware. It seems that a lot of these devices are getting hung on that screen. If I recall correctly it will try to update the firmware BEFORE it gets to that screen when it finds a version of the firmware on the SD card which does not match the installed version. ... and yes I did notice that he had tried that ...

This seems to have worked on many occasions for people with wifi config issues and button freezing as far as I remember, BTW if you find a fix come back and let us know:

Hi.............
. The solution was to power the unit up, and the moment the ATN logo appears to hit the menu button 5 times, and then go to factory reset and re-configure. .
now the unit is quiet and make is job very well. i am waiting for the ATN POWER KIT THAT come from the US . i hope that the scoop continue to run well
congrats for this forum . many thanks MAX
